Starship featuring Mickey Thomas

It’s almost impossible for anyone who tuned in to pop music in the 1980s to have missed the mega-hits of Starship. Anchored by the powerful vocals of lead singer Mickey Thomas, Starship released multiple No.1 hits such as “We Built This City” and “Sara.” Earlier, Thomas was the voice behind the smash hit, “Fooled Around and Fell in Love,” recorded with Elvin Bishop in the ‘70s. Poway OnStage is pleased to welcome Thomas, and the immensely talented Starship to
the Poway stage.
This crowd-pleasing band has a bit of a history. Before there was Starship, there was Jefferson Starship. And before that, Jefferson Airplane. With this production the band mines its deep back catalog. This includes a medley of the group’s earliest hits as Jefferson Airplane as well as new material.
