New Village Arts is proud to launch a new improvisation-based program for individuals living with early-stage Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Improvisation and theatre have been shown to improve cognition, memory, and brain function for individuals with cognitive challenges. NVA is working with leading medical practitioners in the field to develop this new program, and we are looking for participants!
Workshops will run from Nov. 7 to Dec. 19 in this first stage of the program.
If you or a loved one is interested in joining MINDFUL THEATRE with New Village Arts, contact Kristianne Kurner, Executive Artistic Director:
MINDFUL THEATRE will be taught by two NVA favorites:
Samantha Ginn (who runs MONDAY NIGHT LIVE! – an improv course for teenagers with special neeeds)
and Paul Eddy (who has worked closely with Intrepid Theatre Company’s “Exiled Voices: The Refugee Art Experience”)
