We are excited to celebrate another wonderful year for the Encinitas Friends of the Arts and all the wonderful programming we have enjoyed in the city of Encinitas in 2019! So please join us as we appreciate you, our members, donors, and volunteers.
There will be videos, refreshments, and revelry. And if you have not yet guessed, we will be featuring Italy in our Passport series in 2020.
Ines Irawati, the Artistic Director of San Diego Opera's Young Artists and Andrew Konopak, baritone will be performing for us at 5 PM.
Indonesian-born Ines Irawati is both a solo recitalist and a collaborative pianist. She works on community outreach concert series, Opera Exposed. In addition to her performing career, Irawati founded MusiKamar, a chamber music series. She is herself a member of Aviara Trio, a chamber group.Irawati received her MM from Yale University where she studied with Claude Frank.
Andrew Konopak is an apprentice artist with San Diego Opera’s Young Artist Training Program who works with both the San Diego Opera and Los Angeles Opera companies as well as in performances around Germany and Austria. Recently, Konopak won the 2019 San Diego District level of the Metropolitan Opera Council Audition, and will be competing for the Regional level in January.
