This year, the Museum of Making Music hosts a series of four “Make ‘N’ Play” days, where children will have the opportunity to create an instrument of their own. In this, the first of these interactive workshops, the focus will be on making a box guitar. Younger children will be able to make simpler instruments such as shakers and rattles. With their new instruments, children will be invited to “join a band” and play with others on the stage. Free snacks, giveaways and additional hands-on activities round out this fun filled afternoon! No experience necessary and all supplies are provided. Adults must accompany children.
