An opening reception will be held on March 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to celebrate the Athenaeum exhibits for March-April of 2019. The event is free and open to the public.
In the Joseph Clayes III Gallery we will be exhibiting Jim Machaceks Music in the Key of Blue, including a series of 70 mixed-media painterly prints representing Jims visualization of Gershwins Rhapsody in Blue. In the Rotunda Gallery, artist Sibyl Rubottom presents a new series of 2-D and 3-D textile work. In the North Reading Room, an exhibit entitled Images Louder than Words will contain selected works from the librarys artists books collection.
The exhibits will be on display from March 16 through May 4. See the Athenaeum web site for more details and days and hours that the library is open.
