An opening reception will be held on November 16, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to celebrate the Athenaeum exhibits for November-December. The event is free and open to the public. In the Joseph Clayes III Gallery will be a new display by Lael Corbin. The display, entitled Camber, will present research from his last series of force experiments Thrust, Weight, Drag, Lift. Corbin will also use the exhibition space as a launch pad for a series of new endeavors that continue to explore forces, inertia and their effect. In the Rotunda Gallery, Lisa Kanemoto will be displaying selected photographs from the book Dark Mirror, photographic images surveying crucial episodes in her life from childhood to adulthood.
The exhibits will be on display from November 16 through December 29. See the Athenaeum web site for more details and days and hours that the library is open.
