Summer Sounds Concert: Music Across the Lifespan

A special concert highlighting music across the lifespan wraps up our 2018 Summer Sounds project.  The evening kicks off with performances by participants in the Museum’s own adult education programs that offer adults a chance to learn an instrument and perform with other amateur musicians.

Then, guests will be treated to “Playing with the Professionals,” a concert led by two-time GRAMMY®-winner Kamau Kenyatta.  The unique performance gives some of San Diego’s brightest stars a chance to play alongside seasoned professionals.  Students Mattias Almassy, Brenda Greggio, and Alyssa Wishnuff take the stage with professional musicians Richard Sellers, Mackenzie Leighton, Brian Clancy and Kamau Kenyatta. This combination is sure to produce an intergenerational concert unlike any other.

  •  This program is funded in part by the City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts Office.
  •  Receive $3 off when you attend “Making Vital Connections through Music” discussion at 2PM.
