Celebrating a career that spans over eighty years, Joe Caroff recently commemorated his 75th wedding anniversary and will be turning 97 this August. He was the first artist represented by SCAA. The first ideations of the SCAA logo were designed by Joe when SCAA originally started as Sergott Caroff Art Alliance. When the gallery began to grow, Joe graciously allowed Sergott Caroff Art Alliance to become Sergott Contemporary Art Alliance.
His investigations into the nature of abstraction have covered a wide range of media including prints, drawings, collages, paper works, and large-scale paintings. This retrospective will show works that displays his growth over the last 75 years, including a piece from his early time at Pratt University.
