Encinitas Friends of the Arts present Artists Collective Initial Meeting

An Artists Collective Is Now Forming!  Join Us!

Encinitas Friends of the Arts (EFA), which is a 100% volunteer-based nonprofit organization, will provide arts and culture programming in partnership with the City of Encinitas. Our mission is to support the arts and artists. As such, a new initiative in 2019 is to form an Artists Collective, and bring together artists working in all art forms in Encinitas and neighboring cities.

We want to invite artists residing in Encinitas to join us on Saturday, January 26, 2pm, at the Encinitas Library for refreshments, conversation and brainstorming.   We want to hear your ideas as we embark to create this new collective.

We are not looking to set goals that require a large amount of resources and are lofty. The goals could be very practical, such as sharing equipment, space or materials, cutting the costs of production, as well as promotion via more effective marketing and social media programs, or just to spend some social time with one another and foster collaboration.

The Artists Collective is not intended to become another hierarchy or to replace or compete with ones already in existence, but simply to offer fresh and creative ways of relating to each other as artists.
