"Art Beat On Main Street opened its doors June 30, 2012. The gallery, with over 3800 square foot of space, hosts a variety of art shows, adult workshops and classes and monthly and weekly events showcasing featured artists and musicians. In July 2014 we added a wonderful wine lounge, serving a select variety of wines, beer, and light artisan fare. Additionally, there is also a boutique, an outdoor patio and ample room for private parties, lectures and demonstrations. ArtBeat adds an artistic spice to the menu of offerings downtown, which is experiencing an exciting renaissance. With a core group of professional, emerging artists and changing repertoire of art, ArtBeat has something for everyone’s taste.
The goals and vision of Art Beat On Main Street, a co-operative art gallery, is as follows:
to promote art, art awareness and art education within the community and among its members
to encourage and promote a public interest and understanding of art in its variety of forms be it fine art, illustration, three dimensional art, photography, clothing and fine crafts
to provide a place where local and regional artists have the opportunity to showcase and sell their artwork.
to cooperate with other local institutions and businesses and in doing so enrich the cultural life of downtown Vista
to draw residents and visitors, as consumers, to the historic downtown Main Street of Vista
to provide a space for independent art classes/workshops for members and local artists
to make art more accessible to the residents of our community and beyond"
